I started two illustrations of individual monster girls, the first the maned wolf and the second the slime girl. I finished the line art and put some flat colors on the maned wolf to see how she looked. I don't intend to keep those colors on her but it's a start. I really want to keep the original color palette I chose but I'm not too sure how I'm going to work it out.

I drew a maned wolf girl and I really like her.
The second drawing is really large because I plan on doing a final illustration with that sketch.

These are what maned wolves look like:

I put together a height chart of the characters I know I want to use; crocodile girl, griffin girl and slime girl. I really want to have a tall skinny character and a petite character, but I haven't been successful with character designs. I first tested out bugs and mantises, which was what the last post's sketches were. I've tried doing a maned wolf chick but I'm not too happy with the random assortment of doodles. If I create any more characters that I like, I'll be sure to post them.
Still need to figure out what I want the other monster girls to look like. I sketched out some more ideas.

Here are some images that have inspired me or I use as reference to draw my monster girls. Credit is under each set of pictures.

Some monster girl illustrations by Baruyon.
Model and clothes by Georgina.

Art by Bec.

I figured it would be easier for me to do final illustrations with fleshed out characters, since I could use their personalities to create a more emotional piece.
I drew a crocodile girl earlier and I want to keep her. She's got a muscular, thick body type and an "older sister" kind of personality. I've been thinking of naming her Georgia.

I have also been planning out color palettes. I want to use an analogous group revolving around blue-green.

I'd like to use as few colors as possible, but I do want deep blues for shadows and light mints for highlights.

I sketched some character designs for the monster girls. I figured I'd have a better idea of what to do for the final illustrations if I defined some characters first. The griffin girl is my favorite out of these sketches.

I spent a long time sketching and doodling, thinking of different monsters. I drew some robots, but I didn't like how they turned out. I might try again to draw some more, since I do like robots.
